The third annual WomDomNom, a 4 day paddle from Wellington to Narromine, through Dubbo, is being held from Thursday 28 November through to Sunday 1 December 2013.
This event is not organised by Global Paddler, but Scott Rawstorne and his lovely partner Janelle will be doing all 4 days in their Mad River Legend 16 canoe. Sign up now to be part of all the action!
It starts from Wellington on Thursday morning, 28 November 2013 and proceeds 36km downstream to Bril Bral Reserve, where your camping gear will be waiting. All camping gear, food and beverages are transported in a Pantech truck, so no need to carry anything other than supplies for the day.
On Friday we paddle to Lazy River Estate, where we camp for the evening and watch the February 2013 “Tropfest” movies on the big screen.
Saturday sees us paddle into Dubbo and onto Dickigundy Reserve. This day is the longest, but with predicted irrigation releases, it should be another great day on the Macquarie. On Sunday, we start the last section into Narromine, where our adventure finishes.
Day 1: Wellington to Bril Bral 36km
Day 2: Bril Bral to Lazy River Estate 34km
Day 3: Lazy River Estate to Dickigundy 44km
Day 4: Dickigundy to Narromine 36km
If you do not have your own craft, no problems, we can cater for 30 people in 15 doubles!
The cost is:
1 Day $50
2 Days $100
3 Days $150
4 Days $150
All food, transport etc is provided. Click below to register:
